Page 1 of Super Smash bros?

Had this for the Gamecube, and now I see it's out for the 3DS and being raved about. Tried to get into it on the GC but found it really difficult to know what the hell was going on at any moment.

I struggle with things like Street Fighter too (much prefer IK+), so maybe there is a similar deficiency in my brain that means I just can't work out what I am supposed to be doing beyond random button mashing.

Is it worth the time investment?

lol, I was the same on the GC version, sold it on pretty quick.

I'm a big SFII fan, but never got into Smash Bros. on the GC. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Hardly played it beyond the first week, but the Mrs liked it because she could just mash the buttons.

It has such a big following they're releasing a GCN controller for the Wii U version as it's the way the massive fans say it has to be played.  3DS version gets good reviews - Wii U version nearer Christmas.
