Mastertronic lays off 40% of staff

Long-standing UK game publisher Mastertronic will make 40 per cent of its staff redundant and close its Cambridgeshire headquarters, it has announced.

Obviously sad news when anyone loses their jobs. I didn't realise they were still going though.

For years they've been used as a brand to republish old titles as budget titles, also known as the "Sold Out" £4.99 budget brand.

I didn't know either they still did their own titles

Oh, 'Caves of Doom'

My youngest son (at the time) and myself spend months on that game. We sure got our moneys worth out of it.
