Jeeez, I said no way, only ever bought one console at launch and that was the Gamecube. I *KNOW* the price will drop soon, I *KNOW* first gen hardware is the icky one.... but I still did 30 miles running round the Tesco and Asda stores nearby. Didn't get one.

Home just around 2AM, checked online, Asda site still saying in stock but not allowing to order (odd glitch), Tesco site..."FFS! 500Gb vanilla in stock!", cue frantic key taps and orders but once again my Tesco password didn't work!
Reset link took ages, missed the stock!

Then a new bundle appeared, didn't show on searches but it was linked in HUKD from the Marketing CEO's twitter feed.. game called Knack as a bundle... thought I'd 'ave a go... and got one for delivery next week, £6 extra. Didn't do quidco etc cos was just rushing it.

Then it pops into stock again around 4ish but this time for *collection*!!
So thought I've had order cancelled before at despatch stage, let's have a go...
This time used my code for £10 off, this time used Quidco, this time added the game I forgot to add to the first one....

Confirmed :) Pick that one up tomorrow and got the £12-odd tracking confirmation from Quidco too.

So now looks from nothing as if I have TWO! LOL.
Asking around friends etc. to see if anyone wants the extra (assuming both arrive ok) before I return it for a refund.
Unlike the masses of gits out there I will NOT be putting it on Fleabay priced in excess of £600!!

It's up for what I paid for it if there is a genuine buyer out there, if not it goes back to Tesco for refund.

Which, in case anyone is interested that knows I will deal with them (EG Don't waste my time if you recently joined and want a quick fleabay deal) is £435.
And delivery if required but depends if a mate wants it here, a few feelers have gone out and can't confirm anything until both units are here.

The unit that might for sale is the Knack bundle and Killzone Shadow Fall seperate.
(OK actually cost me £431 but I need to wait in for it on Tuesday which is the only day I get Mum out and about so the £4 aint negotiable, it's CC interest for a few days! LOL)

If you wanted to sell it, CEX are buying PS4s for £430 (which they then sell on for £520... I don't even). So, you could make some easy profit.

EDIT: didn't read properly, I don't know what they would offer for a bundle set.

There's one sitting in my hall now waiting for Laddo to finish college. He paid half and the other halfs xmas pressie. Pre paid order at HMV £380 with Killzone.

When I got there about 8.15am (opened at 8) they still had 5 that weren't pre ordered and if you stood there looking miserable there were a couple that had put two bye as the purchaser hadn't decided which bundle they wanted so they were shipped out to the next willing hand full of cash or plastic.

They were telling everyone that although there was obviously the years warranty they would have none to offer as exchange for at least two months and Sony had a supply put by to deal with any fatalities.
Also first time you go online there's a massive update so plug it in and get a coffee/tea/beer.

I doubt I'll even get to play on it

I'm kinda hoping I can sneak his PS3 when he's not looking but as the PS4 isn't backwards compatible for GTA I doubt I'd get away with it.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.

bloke at work got  one on release day from Amazon(he ordered as soon as was possible in the summer), unfortunately, it only worked briefly, problem with hdmi port, much contact with Amazon, said he could have anew one in new year, which he was clearly not happy about,

however, a few phonecalls with Sony, and today a courier arrived with a new console and took away the faulty one.

From what he says it's a known fault with a small percentage of the consoles released, so no freebie for inconvenience, but at least he got new one this side of Christmas!

A few years ago, actually must have been quite a few years ago,  I was "in between jobs" and  worked in Currys at Christams time stackings shelves, must have been the 1st, or 2nd Christmas after PS2 launch, as they were like goldust, when a couple arrived with a delivery, the manager ordered them to be kept back, in case boxing day anyone turned up saying their new Christmas present console was DoA.

Love my PS4. No faults with it, yet. Only thing that took me by surprise (but I should have known about) was the mic being always on.

There's me minding my own business, happily whistling along to the music on Assassin's Creed... when suddenly another bloke joined in... and another... and another... kinda comical.
