Page 1 of Anyone here buying the OUYA games console?

I have to admit I haven`t heard too much about this console before I got an email from Game saying it goes on sale Tuesday.

I would have been interested but for the fact that it doesn`t use your Android profile that you already have. This means in effect that you will have to re-buy your favourite games on their store, which is something I won`t do. Soz to the Ouya guys, but that seems a missed opportunity to me.

I really like your way of expressing the opinion and sharing the information.

getting back to the point (:-)) I didn`t order this console in the end. Shame they didn`t include the play store as I`m not willing to re-buy games I`ve already paid for. Also this video review says don`t buy one yet-

I can`t view that video as I`m at work, but I do think some of the commentators have been harsh. Particularly daft are those that ponied up the cash into the Kickstarter, then got rid of the machine within a day of receiving it, calling it "****". Well, you knew what the thing was going to be when you put your money in. They were pretty clear it was going to be an Android games console. You can`t turn round and say you wanted it to be a PS4. I mean give it a chance!

I still think it has some potential, but I`m sad that they didn`t link in to your Play account. Maybe that`s not too late to change, perhaps in a future update? I dunno, but I`m not writing it off yet. It`s not like the spec is completely crap.
