Looks really good!

If there was one game that would make be get a Wii U it's this. If it upscaled original Wii games to 720p or better I'd have one already. :/

I still have the Wii connected too but it's not even a tiny consideration for me.  How many games do you play on the Wii now - are you really going to go and play them if they look a bit better?  Not really what Nintendo is about - but having said that, this looks every bit as good as anything else out there - but with that Nintendo magic that no-one else can replicate.
Can't wait until the 30th...
A few Mario Kart 'DVD Reviewer' tournaments would be great - just like old days..   There's even voice chat in the lobby.  And a defence from those pesky blue shells...

EDIT: meant to say.... when you get MK8 and register it, you get a choice of 1 of 10 games FREE.  Including Zelda Windwaker and Pikmin 3.

My point isn't that I would suddenly play all these games I'm not now just because they look better (not sure if you've seen Wii games rendered in 1080p HD in the Dolphin emulator but some of them really do look a whole generation better), but what benefit is Wii U for me if it doesn't.

I have loads of hardly played Wii games and if I got a Wii U I'm sure I'll never play them much like I find it hard to watch DVD now I have Blu-rays. As much as I <3 Mario Kart on the Gamecube and Wii, there were more reasons to buy those consoles than just Mario Kart. :/

Tbh I got the Gamecube because it was really cheap and Pikmin looked interesting. And playing Rayman Rabbis made me want a Wii. Just not feeling any sort of pull for a Wii U. :/

I played Mario Kart 2 in the arcades earlier today, it's not the same at all. :) Think of Mario Kart with all the catch up mechanics removed, so nothing that makes you go faster, and lamer tracks.

Basically, what Mario Kart would be like if it was a free to play mobile game. If you ever see it in an arcade ever, save your money!
