Have to agree it does look good, but to me not good enough to see in cinema.

Just hope next years films are far better than this year.

I only went to Jurassic World, James Bond and Star Wars. That is pitiful, as usually I see over ten films a year.

I did see before the Star wars film, a trailer for Kung fu panda 4 (Jack Black), and that does look real good, as he finds his Panda Dad. so that one film for March 2016, at least on my slate.

Just been to see this - and it's quite good.  Can't agree with mbilko on some points about pacing - at some points it almost starts to drag a little.  Really got going after the intermission but not quite enough tension building moments in the script for me.
Thought Tim Roth was playing Christoph Waltz playing the hangman..
7-8/10 but not one I could imagine watching right through too many times.

Quentin and co have upset some cinemas.

Doesn't mention it in this article but I'm sure I heard on the radio there's a 6.5 minute difference between the 70mm version and the one for the smaller screens.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I think it was because there aren't many cinemas that can show the film in its native format so they gave exclusivity to the Odeon in Leicester Square and the other chain threw their toys out of the pram. Their loss I'm sure.

I have an Unlimited card for said chain and I'm very annoyed I can't see it there. Another chain is offering discounted viewings for Unlimited card holders, which is a good PR gimmick. It's already been leaked though.

The film....
Cinema was quite busy (20 people) considering it was the quiet afternoon hours.

Well the excitement of a 'two wide by one high' screen soon wore off as I got right into the film, as it was gripping.

Took a while to realise who was Kurt Russel in the movie, he has aged considerably.

It was a well made film, well acted, rather bloody and violent, but as expected.

Only thing I cannot figure out was why the door was busted and required nails and wood to lock it down (I did go to the toilet for a few minutes considering it was a three hour film), and may have missed this bit.

I didn't pick up any reason for the door thing. Or why they nailed it first.

Even the...SPOILER:
flashback
....did not show up, why the busted door.

Might just have been put in, to give a few laughs.

Now out on DVD and blueray today. I saw it in the cinema and it was just brilliant.

If there is just one video to buy this year right away at full retail price, this is it.

It was to me the best film of last year, even better than the hyped up Star Wars 7, and I am a Si-fi lover, but this Western was just fantastic, best acting, best story, just gripping as it works its way to the finale.

I am going to buy it on DVD tomorrow at full price, which is a first for me, as I cannot wait to see it again.
