So it seems that a new Halloween movie has been commissioned for release next year.
Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton are co-writing it, The alleged plot seems to disregard the previous Rob Zombie movies (not a bad thing),and pick up from Halloween 2 (1981) thus disregarding all sequels.
Personally being a fan of the sequels right up to (and including) Halloween 6 the producer's cut I think "Returns" should pick up the story from there, maybe have James Tolkan play the Loomis role as a cameo just to tie things up but at the end of the day bring an end to Michael Myers this time as he's had a good innings (sort of).
