Mr Turner (DVD)

Just got Mr Turner DVD as a present and was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

It stars Auf Wiedersehen Pet's Timothy Spall and he acts brilliantly in it.

The story is good and about the life from 40 onwards of the Famous painter Turner. The Victorian scenery and wardrobe reflects the period perfectly.

When you watch the film you would think they had taken the cast from the Ugly book, as you have never seen such an ugly bunch since Sean Connerys detective monk film 'the name of the rose'

Maybe this cast made Timothy Spall look that bit better, he he.

I am not a great one for watching films based on peoples lives, but the acting was so good, it held me for the full two hours of film. I would recommend watching it, if you get the DVD when its cheaper.

He was the right guy for the role

He seems to have done well considering the rest of the 'Auf Wiedersehen pet' team.

there's a film where he plays a hangman, based on a true story,
Pierrepoint

I remember him being excellent in that.
