The marketing and title for that matter are to blame for that Si. Batman V Superman is the invitation to buy, Dawn of Justice is what's actually on offer.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice as a title is like Marvel calling the first Avengers film Iron Man V Thor: Avengers Assemble.

Yeah there's gonna be some conflict but the end game is to get them together for the Justice League next year.

I still don't get how Batman can fight Superman, seems terribly one sided to me...

I haven't seen the film yet, so my guess is he uses a can of Kryptonian Repellent spray ;)

Even if he does, Superman flies at 7,200,000 mph (according to this: http://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/80312/how-do-we-know-the-flash-is-faster-than-superman) so how would the luminous green rock/goo be able to stop him in time - I assume that it doesn't have infinite range...

Just seen it - thought it was great.  Some of the fights with Batman in seem a little slow but Superman's were great.
