I`ve bought them before, and I`ll buy them again, but then I love all the films, and the Clone Wars cartoons :B

This makes an interesting read:

That is interesting reading indeed.

Despite people who despites Jedi, I really enjoy it still. The emperor brings enough darkness to proceedings.

The prequels really do have awful dialogue, and extremely childish humour. I don`t get that, it`s like how Spielberg managed to get humour into his earlier work, but Jurassic Park became one big sign post that he begun losing his ability to make funny for grown ups.

C3P0 and R2D2 where a great comedy double act in the originals, yet the prequels saw them become the main comedy sidekicks, which is fine in itself, but they just weren`t funny by any degree of the imagination. Can anybody older than 5 really find them amusing in episodes I-III?

Wow I must the only person who has never bought a single star wars set, I don`t like the films and cannot understand the appeal. But lego star wars that`s a good DS game.

How many times will we have bought Star Wars now?

I`ve never bought the originals :o

I borrowed the original trilogy on VHS before Phantom Menace came out and just never got around to buying on dvd.

I bought the new trilogy as singles for about £3-4 each, so won`t mind rebuying for the first time when they come out.  Won`t be paying full price though.  Would need to be about £30-35 for the boxset before I`ll buy.

Thinking about it I remember the horrendous dance sequence introduced into Return of the Jedi (I think?), so potentially I watched them on Sky or borrowed the dvds at some point.

The versions being released on Blu Ray will be the 1997 Special Editions / 2005 DVD clean up versions.

I`m quite surprised at that. I thought you would have been looking at another redux of the films to encourage people to spend again.

I`ll be sticking with my multiple DVD sets anyway. I don`t have Blu Ray. :p I love Star Wars to bits, but even I can`t be persuaded to part with the cash to buy a new TV and BR player just to watch the films in a higher resolution. Maybe if 3DTV takes off...

I`ve repackaged them before and I`ll repackaged them again but then I love all the money, and the Star war mugs that keep buying them again and again. GL
