Writer`s Release

Just turned on Netflix this morning and this was on there.
So watching it right now. Will update with thoughts later on.

I'd heard something was in the works around Cloverfield but didn't know it was Netflix!

Has Chris O'Dowd in it anyway :)

Don't get your hopes up, it's a clunky, cliche-ridden mess. It doesn't surprise me in the least that this was plagued by production problems before being brought under the Cloverfield banner.

All the interesting stuff was already done much better in Fringe.

It wasn't fantastic.
Pretty run of the mill stuff.

All I walked away from this one with was:

So if this movie is supposed to run concurrently with the first Cloverfield how does the main guy on Earth have a full screen smartphone - ten years ago they weren't around. The first iphone had only just come out in 2007!
