Can anyone recommend any websites that do good deals on CDRW and
CDR media?

Thanks.

Yeah, I got a pack from Jungle, and although they don`t come on a spindle (just a shrinkwrap), they are memorex 700 CDRs. Haven`t had a coaster yet. Only downside is the garish Jungle branding.

I was mainly after 10xspeed CDRW to go with my new 12x10xLiteon writer (bargain from ebuyer.com). But not many places stocking fast CDRWs -let alone at a good price.

Found a good price at gb.buy.com + voucher meant even better deal.

Cheers.

Aldi do the well-known famous Texion brand, which can cut the mustard up to 16X and are CDR80s - come in nice little jewel cases too.

Usually by the checkouts - £3.99 for 10 - no coasters so far using Liteon 12x10x32

If your looking for "brand name" CD-RW media, you should definitely check out www.starmount.co.uk . Prices are half-decent and they supply many different brands.

Recommend these guys :

http://www.121cdr.co.uk

They get some right cheap stuff in - definitely worth signing up for their weekly newsletter : they seem to get a lot of "labelling cock-up" discs dead cheap

Example (this week`s newsletter)

"A manufacturer of CDR has a large contract to make discs for an important distributor. After they`ve started to print the discs they realise they have muddled up a million or so 74 minute discs and a similar number of 80 minute discs. Whoops:)
The end result is that we have 80,000 discs that may be 74 minute or may be 80 minute. They have some printing on them. Mostly it is just the white top surface.
These discs are on the website described as "Factory unfinished CDR" and are £13 + VAT per 100"

Heh heh - apparently they`re good quality too.

Not used them myself, but have heard good things about them. And £13 + VAT isn`t a major disaster either is it ?!

Hey! Seems everyones got a Liteon 12x10 - mine replaced an ancient 2x HP (which only really worked at 1x) - what a world of difference!!

I did notice that Jungle had some Ricoh CDRW 10x for £2.57 inc VAT - not tried them, so don`t know what they`re like. Prod code RIC051.

Thanks for the info guys,

Found some on gb.buy.com 10pack for a tenner! Was ordering some other stuff so the postage charge was not an issue.

Will keep the suggested sites for future use.
