The Rundown / Welcome to the jungle

Just got The rundown and have to say very good silly action (although The rock using 2 shotguns come on!). but i was just wondering, can anyone tell me what they cut out of this to make it into England?
because it seemed perfectly ok to be a 12 to me

You say pyscho like its a bad thing

The BBFC didn`t cut anything, it was one of those cases where the film company itself gave the BBFC a self-cut version of the film for classification. It`s a current trend with the film distributors, The BBFC have managed to divert most of the censorship criticism away from themselves with the oft-used quote:

Quote:
An uncut version of the film was made available to the distributors at a higher rating

a good example of this is the headbutt in SW Ep2. I bought mine when I was out in Oz, it includes the headbutt and it`s a 15+ rating. If GL wanted it uncut in the UK, it would have been a 15 at least, but as GL wanted as many people as possible to see the film (i.e. wanted as much cash as possible) he opted for the cut version

More importantly: why the f*** did they change the title? I absolutely loathe studios when they do that. >:(

A friend of mine lent me a pirate DVD of this, so will be watching it soon.

Personally, i thought it was a bit average. Incidentally, Welcome to the Jungle was the 3rd title change. When in production, the working title was `Helldorado"

I really enjoyed it- It`s a lot of fun and has a really well-judged mix of action, comedy and adventure. Felt a little bit like an 80`s film at times aswell (which is a good thing IMO), except with very modern ass-kicking fight-scenes...

Hope `The Rock` makes a few more films like it.

I agree, was pleasantly surprised when I saw this at the cinema, just a great feel good movie with plenty to keep everyone happy, I don`t think anyone could not find something to hate in this movie, it`s just enjoyable. I agree it felt a bit like an 80s film. Definitely one of the best and most fun I`ve seen this year, along with School Of Rock and Starsky & Hutch which were both a lot better than I expected
