Battlestar Galactica Complete Series (reimagined) £29 at Amazon on BD

They had this Tweeting thing where you get £5 off, so you could have got it for £24, but I don't tweet.

Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series £29

I watched some of series 1 on Sky 3, now Pick, and was in too much of a original series purist mode to really appreciate it, so this time it's a blind buy for me. They started repeating it on Pick, but I missed the first two eps.

I hope it's good.
Incidentally, for a complete series, it's apparently missing Blood and Chrome, The Plan, some webisodes, and Caprica.

It's great. The plan wasn't part of the original series run and isn't really required viewing. Caprica was an entirely separate entity and ended after one (good) season, while Blood and Chrome really has nothing to do with it.

I went and ordered them anyway, being the completist that I am... Well, not Caprica, as I could only find that BD on a French import for £40, but The Plan and Blood and Chrome.

Had my own dammit moment when I ordered the DVD of The Plan by mistake, and learned that Playtrade doesn't have a cancel button, and eager Playtrader posted the thing before answering my cancellation e-mail!

Accidentally ordered this set, as you may have realised earlier, and as I have Prime it will be here later today (why am I up at 0345 hrs???) so that's nice...

The Plan is good but outside of the run and not essential viewing, just gives a more Cylon perspective.  Blood & Chrome is a prequel of sorts with a young William Adama so again not essential to the main series.

Caprica in my opinion was a bit of a mixed bag and although a prequel that shows the evolution of Cylons and the racial mix of the 12 colonies, was really outside of the main series in tone and style.

Caprica was very poor, except perhaps the last two episodes. Catch a re-run on TV.

I've recently started watching it on US Netflix, in HD. Brings back fond memories, but not sure I'd go for the Blu set.
