As always with these cheap PCs, it`s not going to play the latest games at highest res, but good value for money, about £100 cheaper than similar spec machine from other places.

TBH what`s putting me off buying one of these is that it only has one drive.
If i buy one, then i can`t just put a blank disc is the burner & leave if to do its thing.
If i fit a second drive, a reader, does that mean the warranty is void because I've opened it?
Plus, i don`t know how to connect a drive anyway.
I've swapped drives before, but don't know how to rig up a drive. :/

It`s "usually" easy.

"normally" there`s an IDE able (flat one) that connects to motherboard at one end, other end to the installed CD drive. In the middle there`s an extra connection so you can plug that into new/extra drive. Sometimes though the cable doesn`t have the middle connector. (or on old PCs there is one cable, with hard drive and cd both on it :( but that wouldn`t apply here as HD is SATA)

as for warranty, I don`t know, I think that depends on the company. Some you have to return to base full unit, some faulty part, depends on what exactly is wrong. for example my PC is a mesh, when hard drive went, they sent me the details to get a courier to pick it up from me, and sent me knew one. If it was a processor problem, i guess they`d want whole thing.

sometimes these PCs have a recovery partition so you may be able to boot off that to do a fresh install, maybe holding f12, f8 or somehting may be what you need to do, or if you press delete as it starts their may be somehting in the bios which will help you?

otherwise using whatever CD/DVD you have to install another OS should let you do a fresh install and format the existing drive.

thanks for the reply  i gave up and installed win 8.1 with media centre works a treat and the software found in the tools folder also installs double bonus  just a shame the remote is missing
thanks again
