Strange one this. ECU swap.

Gonna throw this one out there on the off chance someone else has had the problem or done the job.

Got an issue with my old Fusion tdci with an odd intermittent throttle event, it revs on it's own changing gears and a pretty significant throttle delay at junctions. Peddle has been changed and also the EGR on the off chance one was causing the issue. Now i'm moving onto the ECU. Forscan is pretty handy for Fords but it won't write the VIN so I need to source a tool to do the job.

Don't suppose anyone here has encountered the problem?

RE: Nerve conduction study - anyone had the test?

Forget about this thread, grey matter is letting me down!

Choagy, was it a new/old injury that caused your problem? I had a bad fall back in my school days, hanging off a tree branch that snapped and the base of my back had a close up of the road curb, a 3ft fall if that but had to play rugby after

Not sure a 30 year old injury could cause problems now?

Thanks for letting me know - seems nearly identical symptoms.

RE: Nerve conduction study - anyone had the test?

Cheers Bandi. I haven't looked further into it because if I do I'll end up diagnosing myself with some terrible disease when it could (pray and hope) be something minor. Gave up smoking, now I'm falling apart. Sods law!

Nerve conduction study - anyone had the test?

Just wondering what to expect really. Got parts of my feet without sensation. Doctors are out of idea's because all the other tests came back OK. Didn't fill me with confidence

Anyone had problems getting a refund..

From CEX?

For me it's like pulling teeth with them!

Bought a mobile phone from them online, 4 months into the purchase the phone starts crashing and playing up. Made a complaint and was asked to send it back for a refund. Now I'm being told that I'm only entitled to a voucher refund not a debit card refund because the fault didn't occur within 28 days of purchase? Eh, really.. wtf?

Are they taking the p*** because it certainly seems they are.

Any thought on a way forward for this?

RE: Ex smokers...

Jesus, it says something when a handful of people on a forum give you words of encouragement and congratulate you on your quitting efforts and family members appear not to give a s***.. that's life eh!

Much thanks everyone

I must be honest, if it wasn't for the ecig I'd still be smoking and wasting money. The biggest thing was finding a juice that I liked, alot of trial and error. For those who are thinking of quitting I'd suggest Dekang, Prestige Vaping, Hangsen and Liqua if your feeling brave..

At the end of the day I suppose the 'pangs' are the nature of the beast. Better get used to it for now. I just felt annoyed with myself that I still fancy a smoke when there's really no need... Aaaahhhh bloody ciggies!!

Ex smokers...

A month and 8 days since my last ciggy a 24 year addiction is slowly loosing it's grip. To be honest it's been surprisingly easy compared to other alternatives..

Forget the expensive patches, nicotine lozenges, nasal spray in the end it came down to a £7.99 ecig with a £1.99 bottle of juice. What's really gets me down is every now and then I'll really fancy a smoke, god knows why it smells like s*** and would probably taste the same..

So the question to you ex smokers out there.. How long does it take to shake off that 'I want a fag' feeling just out of interest?

RE: Smart Parking Limited also trading as Town & City Parking- Parking Charge Notice

I'd recommend anyone being hounded by these shirtbags to double check they are not the type to apply to Northampton Bulk Handling Centre.

Having similar fun with parkingeye. Initially I was going to ignore their letters until I came across a forum post that says they DO take people to court. So I appealed which was rejected. I've since appealed to POPLA.

What annoys me with both PE and POPLA is apparently they 'don't do' mitigating circumstances so just went with the usual 'Has the Landowner suffer a loss?' etc....

Identify a heavy rock/thrash metal track.

Pretty sure I've posted this before and might actually have found the artist/group but can search that far back.

The track starts off with a guy screaming some lyrics, black hair and black make-up around the eyes, the scene is dark with heavy drums and guitar. The chorus cuts to a bald guy playing guitar with vocals you can actually make out and something on the lines of 'where is your love' OR 'where is your heart' as I remember. It then cuts back to the maniac shouting lyrics hanging upside down on rope suspended from the ceiling and somewhere towards the end of the song 2 young girls in dirty white dresses..

That's the best description I can give from memory. Don't expect anyone to know really, acquired taste you might say but ya never know

RE: Should we intervene in Syria?

11% say we should, so that`ll be the government and those who stand to make money from it.

Bombing the **** out of Syria will only cause more long term problems and as the UK is skint probably not a good idea anyway.. Hasn`t Russia, Iran and China expressed concerns about the potential for agro?

RE: Anyone good with Final Electric Statements?

Hey miikey, much thanks!

I think their argument rests on the fact that although the final statement says 1598 `actual reading` as of the 22nd it was in fact 2221. What I don`t understand is if they knew the reading was 2221 on the 22nd via the meter key why did they give a reading to BG for 1598?

Sent a letter yesterday asking for clarification, let`s see what they say. Boggles my noodle!

In the famous words of Arnie.......

Anyone good with Final Electric Statements?

Asked elsewhere but got zip, so I`ll try this here.

It`s goes something like this. On the 22/04/2013 I moved from Swalec to BG for electric. On the 22/04/2013 Swalec gave BG a meter reading of 1598 as an `actual` reading as per my final statement dated 07/05/2013. Just called them up for my refund and the tune has changed Swalec are now saying that it was a wrong reading and that the correct reading as of 22/04/2013 is 2221 and that no refund is owed, I shouldn`t have had the statement and that I should `forget` it  Been on chat twice asking questions and have answered nothing, just saying they `don`t send statements for prepay customers` which is odd as my statement says Equipower Standard (KEY METER)

Can anyone make sense of the statement below. I`ve been looking at it all morning to the point where nothing is making any sense.

Much thanks.

So each one of you are George for a 5 years, what are you going to do to jump start the economy?

Oh and the the rail link is going to be another joke! There`s the inevitable overspend, we thought it would take this long but.... and as it`s no doubt going out to the cheapest contractors they`ll probably make the lines out of sausage rolls and jelly.
