RE: Bourne Ultimatum First Impressions

I really liked it apart from a couple of things.......

1) Some of the fast cut editing was just two fast and nearly made me physically sick.

2) The shakey cam near the beginning of the film during the dialogue was a bit distracting.

3) The complete cop out ending.

But the scene in the railway station I will be a classic action film moment, better than I expected !

Retirement Disco

Bloke at work is retiring next month and ask me to sort a disco, need some ideas for the music i can play, any suggestions got some cheesy stuff, but i think they want some rock and roll etc - give me your best ideas please !

RE: DNA taken when your arrested

I once had to give a urine, stool and seamen sample at the doctors, was in a rush so just left my underpants.

I thank you.

RE: England lost 3-1

Yeap . This is what happens when you have a player with "special needs" who cannot control his temper and gets sent off.

RE: George Best`s Funeral

I missed it earlier , I`ll try to catch the highlights later on Match of the day.....

RE: Having a Christmas Dinner & Karaoke Party - where to find good DVD Karaoke??????

Try http://www.singtotheworld.com/. I use them every year and you can even customise your own disks so it just has the songs you want.

RE: Legend Best `enters final hours`

Not a big George Best fan on or off the pitch but I really don`t like the way the press are reporting this at the moment, its like they just cannot wait for him to die - hours to live, details of whats happening to his body, tributes being paid and the blokes still got breath in him.

Its almost like a big film release - days of hype waiting for it to arrive, then when it does they want to move onto the next big celeb story. Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable and sorry for his friends and family at what must be a difficult time for them.

RE: Ooh just played on an Xbox 360...

Call of Duty 2 is supposed to be incredible - however Kameno could be good.

RE: STAR WARS: EPISODE 3 Anticipation Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

Got mine from Play (R2) this morning. Just watched Phantom Menace, Going to watch Clones now and saving Sith for tonight.....

Cinema Rage

Anyone else stopped going to the cinema recently due the behaviour of other people kids / chavs in the audience ?

I`ve not been for a while - certainly not at a peak time, but went this weekend to Trafford UCI to watch Howls Moving Castle and surprise surprise half way through the film a group of lads ran in and started to mess about. Someone told them to shut up but this made them worse. I went out to complain - missing part of the film - and it took the ushers nearly 15 mins to get rid of these idiots ruining the film for all. I did manage to get my money back however but even that took some doing as they tried to offer me a re-admit ticket.

This has happened a few times now and I think im gona just stop going and wait for the dvd. Once your are in the screen they cinemas dont seem to care cause they`ve got your money. Im now starting to wonder if UCI stands for "Usually Chavs Inside".

Hitchhikers Guide Sound

Anyone else noticed that the sound on Hitchhikers guide is really poor quality and sometimes its difficult to hear dialog. When I saw it at the cinema the sound was poor but I thought it was the cinema rather than the film.

Tried it on different sound systems this week and the sound was poor on all of them.

RE: Advice from others who`ve had wisdom teeth out

When I had mine out it took it took over a week for things to start to heal and feeling to come back. What worried me the most is when I got home I found my underpants were on the wrong way round. (Old dentist joke)

RE: Underground closed possible explosion!!!!

We should name and shame these hotels.

RE: Land of the Dead rated... 15

Or make a fortune on the 18 rated extended dvd in 6 months time.....

Anne Bancroft -RIP

The original sexy older lady has died at the age of 73. Strange only watched the Graduate at the weekend......

RE: Who is getting Revenge of the Sith tomorrow? (any platform)

What about Goldeneye, and Lord of the Rings wasn`t too bad. Im gona wait a few weeks - may rent - and no doubt it will discounted once the hype is over.

RE: Are UMD movies for the PSP region locked ?

All you need is a 512meg or 1 gig memory card for a psp (www.picstop.co.uk) some free software (pspvideo9) and a bigish hard drive to store you psp movies. Its easy to do but can take time. For further details see www.pspvideo9.com

RE: Are UMD movies for the PSP region locked ?

The games are region free. However UMD disks are region locked and knowing Sony there will be no easy way of getting round this. However if you get a big enough memory card you can rip your current dvd`s and watch them from the memory stick - which is what i`m doing. The umd disks are good but ask yourself if you are really going to buy a film twice - once on dvd then umd so you can watch it on the move. Must admit the quality of the Spiderman 2 UMD is excellent.

RE: US PSP

Its a pro duo memory stick. You get a 32meg one free thats ok for saving games but you cannot get a film on it. I bought a 512mb card from picstop and that good as I can get an average of two films on this. Really want a gig card but they are not in stock anywhere at the moment.

RE: US PSP

Thought that, but on the parcel the supplier had written childrens toy and the value of only the game $34.00 - not the console. They did that with a ds I purchased at xmas for the wife and I didnt get stung then either.

On a different note got a bigger memory card today and been playing about with it in work and Im still glowing from how good this system is. All the lads at work were impressed and few of them have bought one so soon we can play head to head via wi-fi. Its great dumping your latest dvd on the card and watching it over your dinner hour or when you are working erm hard.

US PSP

Ordered it last month from importmadness, been delivered today, and all I can say is wow, this is one nice bit of kit. Got the free spiderman 2 umd and the quality on the screen spot on - no dead pixels. Wipeout pure looks and play like a dream but not got into Metal Gear as of yet. Best of all I didnt have to pay import tax (which I thought I would do) so im using that money to buy a 1gig memory stick.

The console itself is smaller than I though but it is very slick and could rival the Ipod for looks. One thing im starting to see is that its not just a games machine but a full media centre that fits in my hand. Just scared of scratching the case or dropping it. It is too good for kids....

RE: Does anyone know the returns policy for games at Tesco?

still has to be in the wrapping with the finger prints of less than two people.

RE: Gran Turismo 4 delayed AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

No realistic car damage
Rival cars follow a set path
Online play removed.....

Think I will stick with Burnout 3.

RE: STAR WARS: EPISODE 3 Anticipation Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

I`ve been told it will be on the front of Hitch (11/3/05) in the UK. Be a case of watch the trailer and leave before the film starts.

RE: Ordered a PSP

I would wait until next month when the US version launches. Most of the games are only Japanese - also disk play back will be limited to Japan, whilst at least the US playback will be in English.

RE: Are you looking forward to flying in the new SuperJumbo Airbus???

Does it really matter the size of the thing - to the average member of the public we will still be travelling in the cheapest seats cramed together with the minimum leg space on the inside. This promise of wide open spaces, shops and entertainment will only be on offer to the premium passengers and we wont even het a look in.

RE: Your opinions on the MAC MINI

I think this will be a must have second pc. I`ve used Imacs at work for video editing (did out weddding video on one) and loved using it from then - but couldn`t really find an excuse to buy one. Got an Ipod last year and now I want one of these minis so I can store all my music and video on that and use the pc for internet and gaming.

The size is good as i could have it on my desk with a switch box and use my existing monitor, keyboard and mouse. Problem is do I get the mini or a psp..... probably both to be honest.

RE: Now its all over

17" LCD tv for the bedroom
Return of the king extended ed.
Little Britain
Grand theft san andreas (not even started it yet)
Half life 2 (Well into that)
Goldeneye (Going back)
Loverly jumper and slippers
Wifi detector (very impressive and going to have some fun with that....)

RE: DVDs altered to reduce chances of mass panic?

The beginning of Love Actually had the dialogue about the planes hitting the twin towers removed for the airline versions.

Better than that Jaws had to be stopped being shown on planes in the late 70`s as when the head appeared from the bottom of the boat, passengers would jump causing the plane to shake.
