Been there . . . . tried them - no joy.

That`s where it mentions that `many Trutechs are actually Cyberhomes badged`

Thanks anyway - Pueblopedro

RE: Multi Region hack for Trutech T600-D

I have heard that this player may be a Cyberhome?

RE: help! programing sky remote

Hi Teg33 - looks like a double senior! - link did appear in 1st posting ;) - (another senior)

Incidentally the AOC flat screen LCD TV uses same codes as the NEC, which fortunately, only has one Sky code across all models.

RE: Multi Region hack for Trutech T600-D

Yes - a hack for this unit would be useful! - currently sold by Target in USA for $29 or around £16!!! - any ideas / thoughts would be acknowledged.

Once again many many thanks! - Dave :x

RE: Centurion DVA-320S2 12volt Maplin DVD player at sub £35+VAT

Hi Sue - spoke too soon! :/ I have just checked the FAQ`s on Maplin site and they have finally answered my question. (3rd time lucky - They obviously couldn`t understand the term . . . . . multi-region?!?!) : see my question/their answer below:

Q) HELLO ANYBODY THERE? Fearing that this may be a black hole I will STILL ask my question again, albeit, in a simpler form, just in case there is a problem of understanding, - What region is this DVD player, please? - D ROBSON
A) This is a region 2 player - it is not multi-regionable

Sue is your`s this model? - I suspect the TECHIES at Maplin are the rejected 16 year old morons from Dixons or PC world, and as such, have difficulty in reading and writing, let alone understanding anything not to do with games consoles, or MP3 players.

If your`s is this particular model, (and not an earlier ` un-de-brained` one), I will get a couple, (one for my mate in the UK).

There`s an image on this link:

Thanks again, Sue

RE: Centurion DVA-320S2 12volt Maplin DVD player at sub £35+VAT

Hi Sue - looks like you have come to my rescue again! - I have the Leiker, which I bought for my motorhome. The problem is after going to all the trouble of locating a hack, I discovered my 600W inverter wasn`t `man enough` to run the LEIKER.

I saw these on the Maplin web site going relatively cheaply and my only real concern was it`s multi-region capabilities. (I have most of the MASH series from my daughter in the States still to watch!) - sad I know?

I have sent several emails requesting info, but they either don`t know, or are not interested, because to-date, I have not had a reply.

Sounds like just what I am looking for - thanks again Sue! :x

This looks very tempting for my motorhome - anyone know of a hack please?

RE: Need a couple of hacks please.

Hi did you ever find hacks for these? - particurly the Centurion DVA-320S2.

Centurion DVA-320S2 12volt Maplin DVD player at sub £35+VAT

I see this is currently on offer at under £35 from Maplin. Does anyone have any experience / comments please?

RE: Hack code needed for Leiker DVD Player

Thank YOU Sue for pointing me generally in the right direction! :x

RE: Hack code needed for Leiker DVD Player

The way that you choose to achieve an objective, is largely immaterial.

Obviously it is gratifying to succeed at something with least possible cost and inconvenience.

This is the second `Spanish` player I have hacked successfully, so to me, with a little perseverance it`s as `surefire` as it gets, though it does help if you fully subscribe to the saying: - "When the going gets tough - the tough get going" 8)

OK Rassilon prepare for your cynicism to be Optomised! 8) 8) 8)

I have cracked it! - I knew my elementary Spanish would come in handy!

RE: Hack code needed for Leiker DVD Player

OK - first problem: Links from this site are handled through a `frame`, and the translation of the Spanish site didn`t work.

This wasn`t too much of a problem, as I speak a little Spanish - venga bien! ;)

I found the best way to access the secret `menu` is as follows:

1) press eject on remote to open door
2) press again to close
3) when either NDISC on DVD display or No Disc on TV screen appears
4) press SETUP key to display the TV setup menu
5) press 8 8 8 8 slowly and deliberately
6) a `white on black` code or serial number appears UNDER the SETUP menu
7) press 1 3 7 9 (again slowly and deliberately)
8) another screen appears with various details, and at the bottom highlighted in green is

"Region 2"

NOW! - this is where I ran into the proverbial brick wall.

On the Spanish site, it gives two ways to change this:

1) press 0 on the remote, or
2) press the down or back cursor on the remote 3 times (2-1-0 presumably) to change Region 0 or multi-region.

Neither of these work!

I have tried various combinations, including re-entering the 1379 and 8888 codes in different sequences, switching DVD on and off, etc., but to no avail - the Region 2 won`t change. :(

I eventually `cut`n`pasted the link from here into a seperate browser window, to check the translated page in case I was missing something, but I don`t think so. Foiled again!

Thanks Sue - I will have play and let you know - Dave ;)

RE: Hack code needed for Leiker DVD Player

Thanks for that Sue. I didn`t have the unit to hand, only the instruction manual, (which doesn`t have a model number). I have now been to the motorhome and it`s a DV M55, so I will ceratinly try the Medion. - Dave

Hack code needed for Leiker DVD Player

I have a cheap Leiker brand DVD player I bought in Spain to go in my motorhome.

There isn`t a hack listed in the vast amount of hacks here.

I guess that`s because it`s a "badged something else" - anyone got any ideas or info? - thanks Dave
