samsung dvd-r120 how cna I make a simple menu on a (non dvd-ram) Disk

Just got the unit - got the recording down - but when I play the disk - it starts on its own and there is no menu structure.
From the instructions -it seems I can only make
"playlists" in VR mode - I want to finalize a disk with a selection of various recorded items - and put in a new DVD player and have a hi level menu to choose which one I want to see. ...

what am I missing?

Could you send me that firmware too?

I also have a question - do you think it is safe/healthy to keep changing the firmware - to convert back and forth to make this device an NTSC device when I want and then a PAL when I need it for that (or divx) - Any thoughts.

Thanks for the hlep with the replys. I guess I was not clear. I know NTSc goes to NTSc.
I wanted to know if I could do Pal VHS - PAL DVD with this unit in addition to the NTSC-NTSC

Can I make Sumsung dvd-r120 BOTH NTSC and PAL ?

Just ordered this unit in the US. I want ot be able to convery BOTH PAL and NTSC tapes. IS there a way to make it both?
If not it seems I cna swap it by going back and forth with rrimware - is this an acceptable solution - or not recommended?
