RE: BBC Watchdog

I too feel sorry for Loopieloo for having lost a job, but really, you`re going to have to try harder than that if you expect us to believe the staff and associates of SplashDVD had no idea of what was going on. The mere idea that you were "replying to emails" is laughable. Splash never did reply to emails.

If it can be shown that Loopieloo and others like her knew of the insolvency of Splash and continued to take money with no intention of honouring the contracts they can all be prosecuted for fraudulent trading. This is both a civil and criminal prosecution and can lead to prison sentences.

It makes a lot of sense to me now that I had to wait so long for my goods, Splash were only purchasing stock that would sell quickly and easily. All other purchases must have been left aside as they had the money anyway. Perhaps their suppliers were refusing to supply them due to unpaid debts, who can say?

Eitherway while my heart bleeds for your lost job Loopie, it is true what someone said, call centre jobs are easy to get, particularly in Jersey, home of e-commerce. Cash that has been paid to this company is not so easy to recover, particularly as all customers rank as unsecured creditors, the lowest of the low. The unpaid wages will rank as preferred debts and as such only rank below fixed creditors and the liquidators costs, and are much more likely to be repaid.

While I am aware of separate legal identity Loopie, to suggest that a call centre driven company is anything but a collective of its employees is laughable.

RE: SPLASHDVD OUT OF BUSINESS

This is absolutely infuriating! I`ve been waiting since January for 2 cds and 2 dvds I ordered. Despite repeatedly calling them and being told it would be out to me within a fortnight and then failing to be so I only attempted to cancel it this morning! As of this afternoon that liquidation notice is up.

These guys were rank amateurs in their trade and deserved to lose out, I only wish they hadn`t taken £30 odd of my cash with them..... No chance of ever seeing that money again.... :(
