RE: Had enough of Orange?

My son signed up to an 18 month contract at our local Orange shop 7 weeks ago. The Nokia N73 now refuses to receive texts (will send but not receive). Orange shop says as he declined to take out the Orange Insurance there is nothing they can do??. Surely as they sold him the contract/phone they are responsible for sorting the problem out??

Rant over - Orange C.S. is pants :(

RE: Can I use Norton Partition Magic 8 to partition a drive without losing existing data?

Dan

Partition Magic should do what you want without losing any existing data - never had any problems myself doing this. Always best to back up if you can though.

Not a private site but torrents are fast.

RE: Demonoid

According to "rumours" Demonoid was shut down today by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). Web site seems pretty dead :(

RE: Got a dodgy copy of Vista?

I too installed Ubuntu recently, dual boot fortunately. I didn`t have a clue where to start with Ubuntu, nothing like Windows at all. Tried to set my home network up so that I could print to the Epson R300 (attached to another PC in the house). Gave up after a few days and uninstalled it. May try again in a few years :/

RE: Website advice....

I agree with whoot, it looks like a scam. I would never pay any money to a web site that only gives an email address under the contact section. I always like to see an address and land line number.

Good luck with the project.

RE: Domain name question?

You need to have a very good reason for "owning" an otherwise well known domain name..

Strange because I am sure I used to get 4MB

There was an upgrade just over a year ago that took the 4Mb package (and merged the old 2Mb and 4Mb packages) up to 10Mb, and this is the same package that`s getting the upgrade now.

How much do you pay?

Paying £17.99 per month so 2Mb is probably right having checked the Virgin site. Sure I used to get 4Mb though, maybe my memory is playing tricks.. :/ Main gripe with NTL/Virgin is still that the connection is down most evenings.

Sam.

RE: VirginMedia 20Mb thread

Logged onto my NTL modem using root as user & password. On the "Cable Modem Operation Configuration" tab I get...

Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 2048000
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 200000

Strange because I am sure I used to get 4MB, though lately it has been 0MB more often than not (more off than on). Seriously thinking about moving to Sky..

RE: Anyone got an invite for Joost going spare?

Joost - I`d like to give it a go if there is still a spare invite floating about ;)

Sam.

RE: F1 Circuit - But where is it??

Many thanks David and matt.

F1 Circuit - But where is it??

The wife brought this home from work....

Any F1 fans out there who may recognise where this circuit is? Not much to give it away other than the buildings in the background.

Thanks

Sam.

RE: Demnoid.com - begging again!

Now sorted out with an invite, thanks ;)

Sam.

RE: Demnoid.com - begging again!

If another spare invite is floating about out there in the Reviewer community I could make good use of one.......

Cheers

Sam.
