Thanks for the quick reply.
I will not fit all drives in the new system. Just the DVD burner and 1 or 2 hard drives.
I was searching for small cases on scan ebay etc, and kept coming up with matx, or iatx which I don`t want.
I don`t really want to spend more than 200 if can be helped. - do you think that this shuttle would be suitable ?

Help me downsize my PC system

I have a full sized pc tower, and need the space it is taking up, along with the desk and everything.

Any suggestions on a smaller case which will take an ATX mobo.
want to keep.

Current system comprises:
2GB DDR2 ram
Intel core 2 dup E6600 cpu
AGP NVIDIA graphics card - 256 MB and VIVO - needed as use for capturing video cam video`s
DVD writer
DVD ROM
2 SATA Drives
2 IDE Drives
a few pci cards - inc pci wifi and firewire card
Motherboard is an ASROCK DUAL 775 VSTA - onboard 7.1 audio
PSU is a good 600 watt jobbie as before it was too low and couldn`t handle all the drives etc

Basically I want to rebuild all these into a smaller system, and be able to edit and capture video via the AGP and firewire.

Any suggestions ?

I don`t really want a laptop as all this hardware - which is still fairly capable will go to waste.

Oh , I am running win Xp SP3, But will be upgrading to Win 7 soon [i hope]

Want to spend money on a case and reuse as much of the stuff as poss

Would like maybe a shuttle style system, to put next to TV in bedroom, and use on that. So HDMI or VGA port needed.
I know I will prob need to get a PCI graphics card but which one?

RE: Converting HD files to play on a DVD player

I`ve just got a HTC Desire HD mobile, and was looking for an answer to this same problem.
I have a sumvision cyclone media player [which doesnt support mp4 or 3gp] and was looking at home I could view my videos on my NON DNLA HDTV.
I did convert in Super which produces a blocky video - I always use avi - xvid for max compatibility.
Maybe I need to play with the settings

The mobile records and saves in the 3gp format. I have tried Handbrake and as the cyclones does not support MP4 its output has been a waste of time. [I think think this is geared more towards iphone and itouch users]

A quick search on google send s me here

and a reply from vodaphone for a similar problem was either:

[*] The short code you have stated 80275, is operated by a company WIN PLC and their contact details are 0845 1309911. If you give them a call they can remove you from their data base. It is a short code which is FREE to receive messages from.

Alternatively there is indeed a premium rate text messaging bar which we could place on your account as a simple addition called `PREMESBAR`. This will stop sending and receiving of premium rate texts from you mobile and so any charging would stop.

but which is the cheapest handset I can buy that is compatible with skype.
even though the 2 cheapest ones at argos are all sold out.

nathan is dead - but sylar is brainwashed to think he is nathan. what an ending - and peter has all of sylars powers - and is the president [i didnt see that coming - really]
The company is gonna reform too. Hiros powers make him have nose bleeds - in true manga style.lol

it showed how the Company formed, and at the end sylar shape shifting into Nathan as senator - another step close to that episode where sylar becomes president.
I thought this was just a filler episode. and alice is like storm - controlling the weather.

Yeah rebel was Micah last week, with him looking a lot older than before. Also tracey is now dead.
The bonding between nathan and claire seems a little soppy to me.
The best bits have to be the collaboration between Danko and Sylar to get the result they want. And I was waiting for a show down between them both after the ending of the episode 2 weeks ago.
just want to wait for peter to get all his powers back
