RE: White marks from deoderent.

Incidentally, with the ninja advert, have you noticed the `angle of spray` with the bo bashers? The `white stains` spray is directly at the cloth yet the other is away from the clothing!?! ....................................... No? Just me then??......I`ll get me coat..... :/

maybe the pictures are too hard?

Could be but I would prefer pictures with a little more going on in them as the `captions` are fairly limited in the current batch. :/

Agreed! Can`t hear them rushing to congratulate her now after their earlier moronic comments :p

RE: 3 Black Watch Soldiers Dead already

I`m guessing that Blair and Hoon were `otherwise engaged` today and sent that Defence Minister in their place :/ I`d hate to think they were so cowardly they couldn`t be bothered to tell the country themselves.

If this doesn`t finish Blair and his corrupt lot then I will lose all faith in this country`s electorate.......the little that I have left that is :(

RE: Any suggestions ?

www.childline.org.uk/extra/lettersfromsanta.asp

Not used them but a quick search in www.uk.yahoo.com using `letter from santa` lists loads.

"Lazio? Who dem??" :D

RE: One Life - Gary Hart

I saw this and thought the programme makers did a good job....in letting Hart show what an ar*ehole he is. He constantly referred to how `he` had been affected and how `he` had been punished. I think a simple admission and apology would have gone a long, long way to help the grieving families of the ten men killed.

The bit that really got me was when, looking at pictures of the crash scene, he said something about how much he missed the great car/van he had been driving/towing! I`d throttle him now for that statement alone regardless of his involvement, guilt or otherwise.

>:( >:( >:(

RE: It`s The Official Reviewer Caption Competition! #19, Halloween two for one special

Finally, Terry Wogan was pictured without his trademark make-up and wig.

RE: It`s The Official Reviewer Caption Competition! #19, Halloween two for one special

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Land Lubbers" never quite lived up to the earlier films` success. The complete lack of a nautical theme didn`t help.

RE: Job application forms

I`d agree with what`s been said already. Usually, one or two good examples of when you`ve shown an ability in one of the `requirements` for the job, ie leadership, planning, meeting a deadline etc. What I would add is that you be honest; if they use one of your examples in the interview and question you a little more in depth ), you`d look silly if you couldn`t remember the example. To aid this always remember to photocopy your application form and go through it just before the interview.

I, personally, wouldn`t use continuation sheets. The space provided is sometimes a test in itself. To use an continuation sheet is akin to extending a deadline - obviously, you can`t extend a deadline! In addition, on the interview panels I have attended, there have been hundreds of application forms to read - the longer ones tend to be `scanned` and not taken in as well as short, to the point ones and can lose out because of it.

HTH

RE: going to las vegas tips wanted

I agree with all that`s gone before. Regarding the tours - a good one is the tour of celebrity homes (past and present) in and around Vegas. Hopefully, your flight arrives at dusk/night as the sight as you come in over Vegas is fantastic.

What was the song on Doc Martin??

Hi fellow forum fellows (!)

If anyone else watched Doc Martin (Thursday) do you know the song played by the band at the wedding? Liked the `tune` and would like to hear the rest :)

I should ask while I`m here if anyone else is enjoying the series thus far?

The quote is my own but I would now like to amend it :D

Having just watched the aforementioned Al Murray on Headjam with Vernon Kaye I am a true convert! I`m gonna have to stop making snap judgements and allow for a couple of `viewings` from now on ;) Murray was great :D :D

RE: Toolbar help please

:/ Thanks guys but neither worked. This i-search.us seems different to the one above. I have tried all I know (not a great deal) to find it on my PC but to no avail.

I am desparate to rid myself of this unwelcome and uninvited piece of cr*p - any other suggestions out there? Pleeeeasssee! :D

While I have your attention. My screen sems to `flash` quite a bit when adverts/pictures are on it. Do I need to update some of my software to be able to view these correctly? For example, when I only have text from this page in view all is OK but as son as I scroll up to include slipperysam`s picture it starts to flash/jump.

Thanks in advance ;)

Toolbar help please

Hi

I seem to have `acquired` from I know not where (could it be from `shockwaves` I d/l?) a new toolbar called i-search.us which I can`t get rid of!

I can right click the browser and uncheck the ttolbar and get rid that way but it returns in all new windows. If I go via `start` and `control panel` and try to remove it through `add/remove programs` I get a message saying `An error has occured while trying to uninstall i-search.us toolbar. It may have already been uninstalled. Would you like to remove i-search.us from the add/remove programs list?` It seems to allow that but then the toolbar is back when I reopen a browser window!! >:(

I have tried a `find` for the software but cannot find it using the words i-search - anybody klnow what I can do to rid myself of this pain?

Thanks all :/

The Director could never bring himself to shout `CUT!` on set again and surprisingly John Wayne Bobbitt asked for `anyone BUT him!!`

I know I`m gonna regret that one tomorrow but bank holidays must be accompanied by lots of drink :/ :D :p and everything sounds funny!!

...true, but the combined harvester is gonna make one hell of an expensive mess! ;)

My biggest impulse buy has to be a holiday to Las Vegas - not too expensive but the three grand I stupidly gambled away certainly was! :/

That`s extremely tenuous! I bet you used to sit there all day sifting through looking for the names with the slightest hint of innuendo

No! That one just came up! :)

When I worked as a debt collector (a really nice one!) one gent was called Bruenbaum - I tried to pronounce it Brownbawm but he insisted on it being pronounced Brownbum :/

Well, three virus apparently - one was a Trojan (!?) called Dropper of somesuch name. Thanks for the heads up. ;)

RE: Builders name- Which is the funniest genuine name?

No pics and slightly off topic. My brother had a classmate called William Hairs! As if that wasn`t enough for his parents to be responsible for, Willy`s brother was called Matthew - poor sods. Willy and Matty Hairs :D

Also, whilst working for HM Gov I had a claim form from an A R Don - think about it. All very Bart-esque :)

RE: Lunatic ruins Marathon........................CRETIN!

:( You`re right in that we`ll never know. I hope they take this fella`s passport away so he can`t travel to major events and ruin them for `normal` people.

My opinion on whether or not the outcome was affected would be that it wasn`t. De Silva was losing his lead at the time. I think he knew that by his celebrations at the finish. Even I was sort of hoping our guy wouldn`t catch him up :/ I`d blush if I could.

RE: Mum & sis-in-laws latest fad, which my wife now wants.....

In return for some help you gave me in an earlier thread I have had a look around and found www.illuminationtarot.com/insights/dharma_deck.html the link is further down the page - to good old Amazon! I read somewhere that you must buy your own tarot cards and not have them bought for you as this affects their `power`. ;)

Hope this helps Rassilon63 ;)

RE: Fantastic Four! Mens sprint relay shock!

I know Michael Johnson isn`t on Darren Campell`s christmas card list anymore but I wish he`d get over it. The vast majority of the British public disagree with Johnson`s comments and would prefer not to see a `sulky` Campell being `anti-press` in subsequent interviews. Moan over! Well done to the mighty foursome (sixsome I know!!).
