Synopsis:
Thirty-two year-old Sonny Koufax (Adam Sandler) has spent his whole life avoiding responsibility. But when his girlfriend dumps him for an older man, he`s got to find a way to prove he`s ready to grow up.
In a desperate last-ditch effort, Sonny adopts five-year-old Julian (Cole Sprouse, Dylan Sprouse) to impress her. She`s not impressed... and he can`t return the kid. Uh-oh for Sonny!

Your Opinions and Comments
The video transfer is ok. There are no compression marks at all and picture is clear of defects.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is a bit flat. Although this is a dialog based movie, some surround sounds would`ve been nice for some ambience. None exist, alas.
The menus are still and simple (notice the sounds...).
The extras include a rather dull behind the scenes featurette, and 2 music videos. Nothing too spectacular here.
Bottom line - a nice little movies with some laughs, a cry and a lot of Adam Sandler.
Featurette- Not bad. Just your average HBO behind the scenes fair. Not great but not crap.
Trailer- Once again, just what you expect.
2 Music Video`s- Two brilliant music videos, one by Sheryl Crow and the other by Garbage. Fantastic through the speakers.
Overview:
A 20 something guy thinks he needs to do something in his life adopts a child of his friend (whom he didn`t know existed until a phone call in which he says to send him to social services) without his knowledge whilst he`s on a business trip in China.
Review:
The film isn`t bad. Adam Sandler plays the main character and has less than his normal amount of big kid acting. Cole Sprouse is the kid he adopts and Sandler soon learns the pros and cons of being a father to somebody. As a comedy film it does make you laugh in a few scenes but mainly you just sort of think that it`s funny but don`t actually laugh. I bought this film after watching The Wedding Singer and have to say that even though he gets a lot of flack, he`s not trying to be a serious actor in these films, just a laugh. The film is a complete no brainer so don`t expect The Usual Suspects and expect more along the lines of the first Police Academy. Average.
Picture:
You can watch the film in both widescreen and fullscreen which I think is something not available on enough DVD`s. A minute amount of grain but an OK picture never the less.
Sound:
An average 5.1 mix that does the job.
Overall:
An OK film with an OK disc. Could have done with more features.
