Synopsis:
The Coen Brothers are back with a dark and twisted film noir unlike anything you`ve ever seen. Dark but humorous storyline, that`s at times confusing but it`s worth hanging in there. Billy Bob Thornton is fantastic in the lead role. He only has about 20 lines in the film but does provide the naration, a beautifully understated performance that should have won awards. The script is clever. Also to point out that Roger Deakins Bafta award winning cinematography is absolutely stunning!
The anamorphic transfer is crisp and clean. The DD5.1 sountrack is clear in delivering Carter Burwells excellent soundtrack.
Extras: The making of is an amateurish affair that`s not hugely interesting. A 45 minute interview with Roger Deakins is very interesting but also amateurish. Some deleted scenes finish it off.
If you are Coen Brother`s fan then you`ll love this.
