At the time I think this film suffered because of the enormous amount of attention that A Bug's Life received, and thus diverted the spotlight away from this wonderful film. If I were forced to choose between the two (Antz and A Bug's Life) I would say that A Bug's Life is slightly better as a film, but Antz is a more complete disc package (I don't own the Bug's Life SE 2 disc set - yet!).

Anyway, I digress - what my original point was supposed to be was that this is a great film in it's own right and really should not be constantly compared & contrasted with A Bug's Life (which is obviously something that I have completely failed to do!!) as this is a totally different film.

This is a very amusing film, with some great extras, if you like Disney animation then check this out because it is very very amusing.
