Brit flick alert! Brit flick alert! We have a Brit flick alert! StudioCanal have announced the 25th March release of black comedy Sightseers on both DVD and Blu-ray.

Directed by Ben Wheatley and both written by and starring Alice Lowe and Steve Oram, it features additional material by Amy Jump and is produced by Nira Park, Claire Jones and Andy Starke.

With a runtime of 88 minutes, extras include no less than two commentary tracks, a behind-the-scenes featurette, outtakes and trailer. The SD version comes with a 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack and a recommended retail price of £17.99, whilst the Region B HD release features 5.1 DTS-HD and an RRP of £22.99.

    Synopsis and trailer follow...

Chris wants to show Tina his world and he wants to do it his way, on a journey through the British Isles in his beloved Abbey Oxford Caravan. Tina's led a sheltered life and there are things that Chris needs her to see, the Crich Tramway Museum, the Ribblehead Viaduct, the Keswick Pencil Museum and the rolling countryside that accompanies these wonders in his life.

But it doesn't take long for the dream to fade. Litterbugs, noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina's meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris's dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him up the wrong way, over a very jagged edge.
